Choreographer
AS THE CHOREOGRAPHER, YOU WILL CREATE AND TEACH DANCES AND MUSICAL STAGING FOR THE PRODUCTION.

Once you have signed on to the show

Read the script (if you haven’t already) and discuss choreography needs with director.

Dance Studio and Rehearsal spaces have mirrors and sound systems available.

The stage manager box has a number line equivalent to the width of the outdoor Tip stage available for use (please roll it up each night).

Accept SharePoint access from TIP staff. SharePoint is the only file share product that can be used due to county IT restrictions.

Complete Volunteer with Stipend paperwork in a timely manner
Auditions/Call Backs

Coordinate Call Back responsibilities with Director and SM
-
INDOOR: Typically, there is no dance call in the general audition. Dance needs should be identified and auditioned during the callback schedule

OUTDOOR: Work with TIP staff to communicate needs for the general call
-
OUTDOOR: Attend open call auditions in the Dance room, assisting with teaching if necessary.
Pre-Rehearsal

Prepare dances and musical staging for production.

Attend Production Meetings and other meetings as needed.
Rehearsal
-
Coordinate schedule with Director and SM.
-
Teach all dances and musical staging for production as discussed with the director.

Communicate choreography needs with other directing team members (i.e discuss with costumes if a specific dance has movement requirements, if a prop is needed for a dance, etc…)
Tech Week
-
Attend all tech and dress rehearsals following the provided schedule.

Work with directing team, TIP staff, and vendors to ensure all elements of production are in place and respectfully communicate concerns and changes in production meetings following tech rehearsals.
Performances

Attend Opening Night.
