MASTER ELECTRICIAN

THE MASTER ELECTRICIAN WILL ASSIST THE LIGHTING DESIGNER 
•    LOADING IN THE SHOW
•    ADDRESSING TECH WEEK NOTES AND PERFORMANCE REPORT NOTES AT THE DIRECTION OF LIGHTING DESIGNER AND TIP TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

THIS POSITION IS HIRED THROUGH TIP AND IS ASSIGNED TO EACH INDOOR SHOW.  OUTDOOR THE LIGHTING CREW IS ASSIGNED AND RUN BY HARVEST.

IMMEDIATELY AND REPLY ALL WITH ANSWERS PROMPTLY

 

Once you have been assigned to the show

  • Read the script (if you haven’t already) and discuss lighting and special effects needs with the Lighting Designer

  • Attend Production meetings as needed.

  • Accept SharePoint access from TIP staff.  SharePoint is the only file share product that can be used due to county IT restrictions.

Auditions/Call Backs

  • No duties, ME will not attend auditions or callbacks.

Pre-Rehearsal

  • Coordinate scheduling with Lighting Designer 

Rehearsal Process

  • Assist the Lighting Designer with the hang and cueing the show prior to Sunday tech

  • Assist with management of lighting crew.

Tech Week

  • Attend all tech and dress rehearsals following the provided schedule. 

  • Work with directing team, TIP staff, and vendors to ensure all elements of production are in place and respectfully communicate concerns and changes in production meetings following tech rehearsals.

  • Assist as needed during tech based on Lighting Designer and TIP Technical Director requests.

Performances

  • Address notes in performance reports

  • On call for basic repairs and notes

  • Communicate when a note has been attended to or if more assistance from Lighting Designer or TIP technical Director is needed to correct the issue.

Strike

  • Communicate schedule with Lighting Designer 

Post Show

  • OUTDOOR: Assist with changeover for next show

  • INDOOR: Assist with the reset of the grid to house hang
